What Is Vivo Ignite Contest?

Vivo Ignite Science & Innovation Awards are open to all Indian students of Grades 8 to 12. The campaign will unfold in 3 stages Idea Submission, Concept/Prototype Submission, Grand Finale from September 2022 to February 2023. All the projects must be done by the student alone; the project should NOT be one that is purchased, or made by someone else. Vivo Ignite Contest For Creating Digital Poster Guidelines

A digital poster lets you briefly explain your research aim, methodology, results, and conclusions in an electronic format.

Poster size:
The digital posters must be in landscape orientation (8.5X11) inches (A4 size). Please note that your poster will be viewed digitally on the screen.

Upload:
** The poster can be uploaded only in the prescribed format and must NOT exceed 5MB.
** The name of the file uploaded must follow the nomenclature – “ fullname_category_grade_project title”. (For example, if your name is Ashok Kumar, of 8th grade, competing in the prototype category and your project is titled Air Purifier, your file name should be “AshokKumar_Prototype_8thGrade_AirPurifier”.)

Software and websites for designing your poster:
** If you use software like Microsoft Office to design your poster, MS PowerPoint saved to a high quality prescribed format image is advised.

** You can also use other design software like Adobe Illustrator, and CorelDraw.

** Websites like Canva can also be used to create informative and eye-catching designs.

** To check your grammar and spelling, you may use a spell checker like Headings and Text

** Use clear, short headings. They must simply describe each section of your poster.

** Be brief and minimize the amount of text you use in each section. Focus on trimming out unnecessary information. You cannot do this in one sitting. Write your rough copy once, take a break and come back and sit with it. Doing so will give you a fresh perspective.

** Avoid using abbreviations and acronyms.

** Use bullet points where possible instead of paragraphs.

Colours:
** Be consistent in the colours you use. Dark lettering on a white or light background is always preferred. It highlights the content of your poster effectively.
** It is advised not to use more than three colours. Use the same colours to highlight your illustrations and images.

Font:
** It is preferred not to use more than two types of fonts—one for the titles and the other for the body of the text. Recommended fonts are Times New Roman, Arial, and Calibri.
** Always left-align your text as centred texts become difficult to read.
** Maintain the headings.

Images:
** Include photographs, charts, graphs, and illustrations wherever possible.
** The embedded image resolutions should be at least 150 dpi.
** Please ensure the usage of only static images.
** If you are using images downloaded from Google, no trademarked or copyrighted images, or phrases should be used. Ensure you have correct permissions from the owner before using them in your poster.

References:
** It is important to include a list of acknowledgments in the Bibliography section.
** You may even provide links to the jury instead of citing the references if it’s taking up too much space.

Step-3 : On the vivo Ignite, Science & Innovation Awards website, log in or sign up using your email ID.
Step-4 : Enter the OTP verification code sent to your registered email ID.
Step-5 : Please provide the ‘First’ and ‘Last’ name, mobile number, and select your gender
Step-6 : Enter the OTP verification code sent to your registered mobile number.
Step-7 : Fill out the ‘Parental Approval’ form and click ‘Submit’.
Step-8 : Ensure you’ve received an email confirming your registration.

Rules And Regulations For Vivo Ignite Contest

Vivo Ignite Contest Rules And Regulations :
** The students must submit the “Parental Approval” form to participate in the competition. (The form is available in the registration section.)

** There can be only ONE entry per student. Multiple entries from the same individual will result in automatic disqualification.

** The idea and innovation should be aligned to the competition’s theme. Failing to do so, will result in automatic disqualification.

** All the projects must be done by the student alone; the project should NOT be one that is purchased, or made by someone else.

Awards & Recognition Of Vivo Ignite Contest

The Awards & Recognition of Vivo Ignite Contest are given below,
** All the participants who submit their posters and write-ups will be awarded Online Participation Certificates.

** All the 200 participants who make it to the Concept/Prototype Submission stage will be awarded a trophy, a certificate and exciting goodies.

** Cash prizes worth ₹25 lakh+ will be awarded to the top 10 national winners, and the 15 national finalists will be awarded medals and certificates
