What is Star Suvarna Watch & Win Contest?

“Golden Number Contest” is hosted by Star India Private Limited. for the purpose of promotion and viewer engagement of the program titled “Avanu Matthe Shravani” on its channel ‘Star Suvarna’ The Contest will be conducted on the Channel. Participate must be a Resident of Karnataka State. Each Winner shall be entitled to a gratification of one LED TV of 43 inches of the value which does not exceed Rs. 25,000/-. Last date of contest is October 10, 2023.

Eligibility of Star Suvarna Watch & Win Contest

The Participant(s) interested in participating in the Contest must be
1. Citizen of India,
2. 18 years (eighteen) and above years
3. Resident of Karnataka State
4. The Participant(s) should not have been previously convicted of any criminal offense or must not be a party to an arrangement or a contract that prevents them from participating in the Contest.
5. The Employees of the SIPL, the Production Houses of the programs of Star Suvarna and other channels of SIPL, the advertising agency or any other agency or third-party vendor which has been appointed from time to time, and also employees of the main sponsors of the programs of Star Suvarna and other channels of SIPL and members of their immediate family, are not eligible to participate in the Contest

How to Participate for Star Suvarna Watch & Win Contest?

1. The Contest shall be conducted on six (6) days commencing from October 2, 2023 at 10:00 PM Indian Standard Time (“IST”) and shall conclude on October 10, 2023 at 10:30 PM IST (“Contest Period”) on the Channel.

2. For sake of clarity it is clarified that the Contest Period shall consist of total 6 (six) days and thus the total number of questions will be 6 (six) during the Contest Period. SIPL reserves all rights to make amendments to the Contest Period or such other terms and conditions stated herein, without giving prior notice.

3. The Contest shall comprise of 1 (one) multi choice question on each day of the Contest Period with two answer options, based on the episode of the Program telecasted in the Channel on the day between 10:00 PM IST and 10:30 PM IST of (“Question/s) during telecast of the Program.

4. It is clarified that the Questions will be refreshed on each day based on the episode of the Program. It is further clarified that the Contest shall be triggered only during the telecast of the Program between 10:00 PM, IST and 10:30 PM IST timeslot on each day of the Contest Period and no other timeslots.

5. It is clarified that each Question of the Contest triggered during the Contest Period shall be strictly based on the contents of the Program being telecast on the Channel from 10:00 PM to 10:30 PM. It is clarified that the Question shall be exhibited on graphical slate at different times during telecast of relative episode of the Program ie., between 10:00 PM IST and 10:30 PM IST.

6. To participate in the Contest and to be eligible for the Gratification, the interested Participant(s) shall be required to correctly answer the Question exhibited on graphical slate during telecast of the respective episode of the Program, by making a missed call to the unique mobile numbers shown against the correct answer option to the Question.

7. The phone lines shall remain opened for one (1) hour from the end of telecast of the respective episode of the Program that means till 11:30 PM (“Answer Timeline”) of each day of the Contest Period.

8. It is further clarified that the missed call made by the Participant to an incorrect number or sent after closing of the Answer Timeline will be deemed invalid and entry of such Participant will be disqualified.

9. For purposes of this Contest, “receipt” of Answer(s) occurs when the mobile/network operator records the Answer information upon the Participant(s) sending the MISSED CALL. Any automated receipt confirmation does not constitute proof of actual receipt.

10. Providing the correct Answer to the Question asked during telecast of the episode of the Program within the Answer Timelines of the respective Question by the Participant(s) through missed call to the unique mobile numbers assigned to the answer options shall be considered as a complete and valid entry (“Entry”).

12. For the avoidance of doubt, by submitting the Entry and /or Answer(s), the Participant(s) is representing that the Entry(s) and /or Answer(s) or contents thereof are not confidential or comprise any sensitive Personal Information.

13. It is clarified that each Participant(s) shall be allowed to send only one Entry from one particular mobile number for the Question and the Participant shall not be allowed to submit /provide Answer(s)/Entries innumerable times through missed calls from the same mobile number to the unique mobile number assigned to the answer option for the same Question.

14. However, Participants are free to participate in the Contest by sending Answers/Entries to each Question asked during each day of the Contest Period from the same mobile number. Answer/s Entries (i.e. missed calls) received after the Answer Timelines of the respective Question of the Contest shall be considered null and void.

Prizes of Star Suvarna Watch & Win Contest

During the Contest Period and for each Question asked during telecast of the six (6) episodes and on the basis of the Participant (s) having made a valid Entry and correct Answer(s) within the Answer Timelines, to the respective Question triggered during telecast of the respective episode, SIPL will shortlist 5 Participants on randomiser basis for each Question and thus there will be total 30 (thirty) Shortlisted Participants for the 6 Questions.

Out of the 5 (five) Shortlisted Participants for each Question, SIPL will select one Participant as winner for each Question by using randomiser and thus there will be total (6) six winners for the entire Contest.

Each Winner shall be entitled to a gratification of one LED TV of 43 inches of the value which does not exceed Rs. 25,000/-(Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) (“Gratification”). It is further clarified that SIPL shall at its sole discretion select the Winners based on the criterion (randomizer) mentioned herein.

SIPL through its representatives shall contact each Winner through a phone call on the mobile number from which the Entry is made by the Winner and inform him/her of winning of the Gratification, within one (1) month from the date of closing of the Contest Period.

During the call, the representatives of SIPL will ask the Winner(s) to submit to SIPL or their representatives, his/her photograph, scanned copies of his/her PAN card copy, ID proof, age proof which shall be any of one of the documents viz valid passport copy, pan card copy, driver’s license, Aadhar card, Ration card along with last two phone months bill for the mobile number registered with SIPL.

The Winner (s) shall be required to submit the Winner’s Documents to SIPL/their representatives within seven (07) days from the date of the telephonic communication received from SIPL by the Winner(s) to the email Id provided by the representatives of SIPL during the call.

After receiving the Winner’s Documents, to the satisfaction of SIPL, the representatives of SIPL will call the Winner(s) again on his/her mobile number from which the Entry is made by the Winner(s) and inform him/her the date, time and place, the Winner(s) has to come to collect the Gratification.

The Winner(s) has to come in person to the place/venue informed to them by the representatives of SIPL and collect the Gratification from the representatives of SIPL. If the Winner fails to submit any of the Winners Documents required by SIPL for releasing the Gratification, the Winner will not be entitled to the Gratification.

Further, if for any reason, the Winner fails to come on the fixed date, time and place for collection of Gratification, the date, time and place shall not be altered/changed to any other date, time and place and the Winner has forgo the Gratification without any liability on SIPL.

The representatives of SIPL will make maximum 3 (three) attempts to contact Winner(s) on the mobile number from which the Entry is made by Winner (s). In case, if lines are busy or phone is engaged, or mobile number is not reachable or switched off, in all the 3 attempts for any reason whatsoever, then SIPL shall select some other Participant from the Shortlisted Participants as Winner and call for the Gratification.

SIPL shall not be responsible to any Winner(s)/Participants, if the winning information sent by the representatives of SIPL is not reached or received by the Winner for any reason whatsoever including but not limited to mobile network failure or any other technical or non-technical flaws because of which the Winner is unable to receive the Gratification.
