What is Star Singer Season 9 Voting?

“Star Singer -Season -9’’ is organized by Star India Private Limited aired on the channel Asianet. The Viewers interested in voting must be above the age of 18 years and a citizen of India, is physically present and located in India. A Viewer interested to cast his/her vote, by using Hotstar Voting Mechanism. That is starting from October 28, 2023.

Eligibility of Star Singer Season 9

** “Viewer” shall mean a participant in the Voting Mechanism, who resides in India, is a citizen of India, is physically present and located in India, and who is of 18 years or above as on October 28, 2023.
** Proof of age, if requested, of the Viewer(s) must be submitted to SIPL as may be required by SIPL to confirm the eligibility of the Viewer(s).

Time Of Telecast for Star Singer Season 9

** The Program is currently telecasting on the Channel at the timings stated below or such other dates and timings as amended and updated on the Website by SIPL from time to time.

** It shall be each Viewer’s sole responsibility to periodically check the Website for any update(s) or modification(s) to the timings and dates for telecast of the Program, and/or, for other changes to the Voting Mechanism and/or other details pertaining to the voting.

** The votes, for each episode / day (“Day”), should be sent only during the timelines specified hereunder and any votes sent after the respective Daily Voting Period (as set out below) shall not be considered and shall be deemed null and void.

** To participate in the voting, the Viewers must watch/are deemed to have watched the Episodes of the Program being telecast on the Channel, on the times as mentioned in Clause 5 of these Principal Rules. The Viewers by participating in the Voting Mechanism will get an opportunity to cast their votes for any Participant of that Episode(s) of the Program.

Rules for Voting of Star Singer Season 9

** The Program is a musical reality show where individual contestants (“Participants”) competing each other on every episodes of the Show.

** The Judges will evaluate the performance of the Participants for selection of Participants to the next level and; starting from October 28, 2023 in addition to the Judge’s marks, there will be an additional weightage of 30% for the Viewer’s Voting in the total score of individual Participants.

** That is, starting from October 28, 2023, the overall scores for each Participant for each episode shall be calculated, at the sole discretion of SIPL, as follows:
(i) 30% of the score for each Participant shall be attributed to votes received through the Voting Mechanisms; plus
(ii) 70% of the score shall be attributed to the marks / scores provided by the Judges (weighted average method), in respect of each Participant.

** Accordingly, during the Program, the viewers will be asked to cast their vote for their favourite Participant(s) of their choice. The Viewer shall cast multiple votes for different Participants during the Period. The total votes received by a Participant shall be added to their Overall score in the ratio as given above for the purpose of selection of Participants to the next level.

Hotstar Voting Mechanism of Star Singer Season 9

A Viewer interested to cast his/her vote, by using Hotstar Voting Mechanism, will be subject to the following mechanism:
1. The Viewer will have to Login to their account on the updated Hotstar Application in Android or IOS Device and/or any operational devices, visit the Star Singer- Season-9 page and click on the Vote now button for casting his/her vote through this Voting Mechanism. Viewers are advised to check for updates of the Hotstar application from time-to-time.

2. The Star Singer-Season-9 page will list the names of the Participant(s) in a particular Voting Period.

3. The Viewer has to cast his/her vote for their desired Participant’s against his / her name/emoji to save him/her from eviction.

4. The Viewers may cast their votes to any one or more of their favourite Participants, subject to a maximum of ten (10) votes per each Participant per corresponding Daily Voting Period, through the Viewer’s Android and /or IOS Device and/or any operational devices.

5. The Viewer will not be charged in the Hotstar Voting Mechanism to cast the vote, however, there may be cost levied to the Viewer, at the applicable rate, by the network provider for using internet connection which should be verified by the Viewer at his/her sole responsibility.

6. In case of casting vote while roaming in different circle/zone, additional roaming rates for browsing of the internet may be applicable. SIPL, Channel, Hotstar shall not be responsible for any such charges incurred by the Viewer and all charges for browsing/using internet to cast such vote shall be borne solely by the Viewer.

** In the Voting Mechanism, the Viewer should cast his/her votes for a particular Participant(s) of their choice, during the respective Daily Voting Period (as defined below) and any vote cast after the respective Daily Voting Period shall neither be considered as vote(s) for that particular episode/day nor for the next Daily Voting Period.

** The Daily Voting Period for each episode / day shall consists of two (2) hours commencing from the Voting Start Time and ending on the Voting End Time on the same day during which the particular episode is being telecast on the Channel as detailed below, with effect from October 28, 2023 or such other date as mentioned on the Channel:

Notes:
** Only a Maximum of 10 (ten) votes will be allowed per login, for a particular Participant during a Daily Voting Period. The Viewers may cast the votes to any one or all of the Participants of their choice subject to a maximum of 10 (ten) votes to a particular Participant.

** For avoidance of doubt, it is clarified that the maximum votes allowed per login during a Daily Voting Period shall be 10 x Total Number of Participants performing on the episode telacast during the day corresponding to that particular Daily Voting Period.

** Any number of votes cast exceeding the limit mentioned hereinabove, will not be considered and shall be null and void.
