What is HITS Carol The King Competition?
Carol The King Competition 2023 is organized by Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science Chennai. The competition will be conducted in three categories. Each category has two rounds. The competition is judged by a panel of experts and the winners are awarded prizes worth Rs. 1,00,000/-. Last Date of Competition is 25th November 2023.

A GLOBAL CAROL SINGING COMPETITION at MGR Auditorium, Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science Campus, Padur.
How to Participate in the Carol The King Competition?
** For registration either scan the QR code, or follow the link https://forms.gle/NBQJdexhsweMBbZf8 or visit our website: www.hindustanuniv.ac.in
** Last date of registration: 25th November 2023.
** The choir teams from any part of the world can take part in this contest provided the team is representing an institution.
** The competition will be conducted in three categories.
a. Schools.
b. Colleges/Universities.
c. Churches/ Choir Troupes.
Selection Process of Carol The King Competition
There will be two rounds for the competition.
Round – 1 Qualifying Round :
** The choir can perform any one Christmas Carol of their choice, in unison or four parts and an unedited video of the live performance should be recorded and sent in mp4 format to the e-mail id, caroltheking[AT]hindustanuniv.ac.in
** The choir must consist of atleast 06 to a maximum of 30 members.
** Pre-recorded tracks (inclusive of styles in keyboard) are not allowed for singing.
** Maximum time limit is 5 mins.
** Video must have date stamp.
** Last date of receipt of video is 26th November 2023.
** Shortlisted teams will be notified through e-mail.
** The decision of Judges will be final.
Round – 2 Finals :
** The teams selected from the qualifying round will be notified through e-mail.
** Finals will be conducted at Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) campus, Padur on 2nd December 2023.
** The selected choir teams from other states other than Tamil Nadu may join online and must perform live. All the other selected choir teams must be present at the HITS campus on the above-said date. If the teams don’t report on time, they will be disqualified for the final round.
** A song suggested by the organizers must be performed in acapella.
** Maximum time limit is 5 mins.
** Pre-recorded tracks (inclusive of styles in keyboard) are not allowed
** Team members must remain the same as in the qualifying round.
** Judges’ decision will be final.
