What is VIT InoVIT National Level Science Contest?

National Level Science Contest For School Students InoVIT 2024 is a mega annual national science contest for school students launched by VIT to inculcate scientific innovation in the young minds of our country. Event is open to state/central boards of schools. One student can participate in only one event. Participants should come with their teachers and in school uniform. Last date for registration is 12th January, 2024.

Eligibility of InoVIT National Level Science Contest

** All events are applicable for Category 1 (9th & 10th) and Category 2 (11th & 12th).
** A school can have more than one team under each category for all the events
** One student can participate in only one event.
** Decisions by the judges are final.
** Participants should come with their teachers and in school uniform.
** Accommodation will be provided at nominal charges for students coming beyond 80 km from VIT upon prior request.
** Separate accommodation for boys and girls.
** Students should report before 8.00 AM on 20th Jan, 2024.

Instructions :
** Poster size – 21.5 x 17 inch (Chart Size)
** A maximum of 2 students per team
** Original content – No printouts allowed
** Can be a combination of artwork, crafts and text (not mandatory)
** Posters should be prepared beforehand
** Medium of the poster can be either in English or Tamil
** Posters will be evaluated based on scientific content, innovative ideas, solutions and presentation

Debate

This is an individual event
** Debate will be conducted in English and Tamil
** Students can participate in either English or Tamil debate
** 2 minutes duration for each participant to speak either for/against the topic.
** Second round will be conducted for the shortlisted participants from the first round.
** For the second round, the topics will be given on the spot.

** Genetically modified crops are beneficial or harmful
** Will technology make people smarter?
** Is artificial intelligence a threat to humans?
** Can people save nature using technology (or destroy it)?
** Science portrayed in movies is awareness or an exaggeration?

** Registration fee per participant is Rs. 150 (incl. GST)

** Registration fee includes programme kit, refreshments, lunch and participation certificate.
** Only registered participants are allowed to participate in the contest.
** No spot registration allowed.
** Last date for registration 12th January, 2024.
** Once the payment is done, kindly upload the registration form with transaction details and Students list

Existing User’s Instructions :
** Your registration will be accepted only if you pay for the event.

** Payment, File upload for events will be closed on or before the instructed date.
** You can download the invoice receipt, only if you complete the payment.
** You can delete the registered event details, once payment completed you can’t delete.
** GST tax will be revised from the effective date, will be defer if any revision occurs for an event.
