What is Star Gold Movie Poll?

“Movie Poll” (‘Poll’) hosted by Star India Private Limited (‘Star India’) for the television channel “STAR GOLD” (‘Channel’). The Poll shall commence from 19 December 2023, from 2 pm hours IST onwards, and shall conclude on 8 January 2024 at 11 pm hours IST and/or till any other time, based on the sole discretion of Star India (‘Poll Period’). The Poll will be held on Twitter/X using Twitter’s Tweet Poll feature and on Instagram and Facebook using the features on stories.

Eligibility Criteria of Movie Poll Contest

To participate in the Poll, the Participant(s) shall satisfy the eligibility criteria and follow the procedure as detailed below. Person(s) who do not comply with the following criteria should not participate in the Poll.
(i) Participant(s) must be a citizen and resident of India and of 18 (eighteen) years of age or above at the start date of the Poll Period.
(ii) The Participant(s) should not have a criminal conviction or an arrangement or a contract that prevents the Participant(s) from participating in the Poll.
(iii) Employees of and/or consultants of and/or persons hired on contract by Star India and/or its affiliates and the members of their immediate family member(s) are ineligible from participating in the Poll.
(iv) The Participant should abide by all the applicable laws at all times.

How To Participate in the Movie Poll Contest?

** Non-conformance by the Participant(s) to any and all the Terms herein or as set by Star India from time to time will make such Participant’s participation null and void.

** The Poll will be announced and promoted on the Channel and/or social media platforms and/or any other means at the sole discretion of STAR India, and such promotion will continue till 8th Jan 2024 and/or till any other time, based on the sole discretion of STAR India.

** During the Polling Period, the Participants will be asked to cast their vote to choose one (1) film from two (2) film choices provided in the Poll. This process will be repeated during the Polling Period with two new films provided for the Poll conducted within the Polling Period.

There will be a total of three Polls wherein the Participants can vote for their film of choice from amongst two choices. The Participant(s) interested in participating and qualifying for the Poll (‘Voter(s)’) are required to visit the Handles from the Participant(s) Twitter/X, Facebook and/or Instagram account as the case may be and give a vote for the film of their choice (‘Vote’).

** STAR India will sufficiently promote the Poll on the Channel and/or its social media platforms, to ensure that no Participant is misled, and each Participant fully understands the entire process and costs (if applicable) for voting.

** The promotion for the Poll will be shown through promos and/or content on the Channel and/or on STAR India’s social media platforms during the Polling Period.

** Participants will be asked to cast their Vote to select the film(s) of their choice amongst two options for each Poll, during the Polling Period.

** The Vote shall be made in such manner as stated hereinabove and must be made by the Voter(s) during the Polling Period as mentioned above only. Votes made after the Polling Period stated in these rules and regulations shall not be considered and shall be deemed null and void.

** The film with the maximum number of votes for each Poll may be declared as the winning film (“Winning Film”) at the sole discretion of STAR India and such Winning Film will be telecast on the Channel the Saturday following each Poll at 1 PM.

It is understood that any announcement based on the Polling, shall be at the sole discretion of STAR India and shall be final and binding and the Participant shall in no event challenge and/or dispute the decision made by STAR India in this regard including in connection with the number of Votes, the aggregation of the same.

** Any costs or expenses incurred to participate in the Poll shall be solely borne by You and Star India shall not be liable for any such costs or expenses.

** Participation of the Participants after the Poll Period or beyond the stipulated time, shall be null and void without requirement of any further intimation by Star India.

** It is agreed that STAR India shall not be responsible in the event the Participant fails to make the Poll due to any network error of any nature whatsoever.

** You agree and acknowledge that the opportunity to participate in the Poll is the sole consideration to You; and save and except as stated otherwise within these Terms, You acknowledge, understand and agree that there is no prize/gratification for the Poll including but not limited to making the Poll as detailed herein.

It is clarified that all costs including mobile data charges, if any, towards making the Poll shall be borne by the Participant solely without any recourse whatsoever to Star India and/or the Channel.

** STAR India reserves the right to disqualify any Participant(s) from participating in the Poll if the Participant(s) are found to be in breach of any provisions of these Terms. The decision of STAR India in this regard shall be final and binding upon the Participant(s) and the Participant(s) shall not at any time challenge and/or dispute such decision of STAR India.
