What is MyGov Bharat Tex Eco Style Selfie Contest?

Ministry of Textiles is organizing the “Bharat Tex Eco Style Selfie Contest” on MyGov platform. This contest invites you to become a global advocate for sustainable fashion, using your selfie as a canvas to showcase eco-friendly textiles, recycled garments, ethical choices, and the beauty of sustainability in the textile industry. Show off your eco-conscious fashion choices and share how you make sustainability a statement with your style. Theme is Sustainable Fashion for a Global Future. Last Date of Contest is 29th February 2024.

How to Participate in the Bharat Tex Eco Style Selfie Contest?

Steps to participate:
1. Click a selfie based on the best representation of the theme
2. Follow Bharat Tex Social Media Pages
3. Post the selfie on your social media page and tag Bharat Tex page and use hashtag #BharatTexSustainability (Platforms: Facebook/ Instagram/ X/Twitter)
4. Submit your selfie on mygov.in

Technical Parameters:
i. 1 selfie to be submitted
ii. Jpg format only (not exceeding 4 MB)
iii. Along with photo, participants are requested to write a brief description of the photo and the innovative sustainable/eco-friendly element in the selfie.
iv. The file should be of high resolution – at least 1000 pixels per inch at 100% size. The file should look clean (not pixilated or bit-mapped) when viewed on** screen at 100%. Entries should not be submitted in compressed or self** extracting formats.

Gratifications of Bharat Tex Eco Style Selfie Contest

** Top 5 winners will get a cash prize of Rs. 5000/- each
** Top 10 selfies will be reposted on Bharat Tex Official Social Media Pages

Terms & Conditions of Bharat Tex Eco Style Selfie Contest

1. The competition is open to all Indian Citizens.

2. You grant Bharat Tex and its organisers a royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, and display your selfie in any and all media, including but not limited to government websites, social media pages, and print publications.

3. You represent and warrant that you are the sole owner of the copyright in your selfie and that you have the right to grant the license described above.
4. The selfie posted by you does not have any harmful message/ does not hurt the sentiments of any. The content posted by you should not be disrespectful of any government initiative.
5. Bharat Tex reserves the right to select or reject any selfie.

6. Participants must make sure that the information in their profile is accurate and updated as it will be used for any further communications. This includes name, address, email address, phone number, nationality, photo, etc. Any entry with incomplete or inaccurate information will not be considered.

7. The participant will take the undertaking that the work submitted is original and their own work.

8. The content must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957. Anyone found infringing on others’ copyright would be disqualified from the competition. The government of India does not bear any responsibility for copyright violations or infringements of intellectual property carried out by the participants.

9. Bharat Tex reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the Contest and/ or the Terms & Conditions/ Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria. However, any changes to the Terms & Conditions/ Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria, or cancellation of the Contest will be updated/ posted on the MyGov platform.

It would be the responsibility of the participants to keep themselves informed as to any changes in the Terms & Conditions/Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria stated for this Contest.

10. Bharat Tex under Ministry of Textiles will disburse the prize money to the selected winner(s).
11. Should any dispute or difference arise, the decision of the jury shall be final in the matter and binding on both the parties.
12. All disputes/ legal complaints are subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi only. Expenses incurred for this purpose will be borne by the participants themselves.
