What is Wonder Writers Academy Essay Writing Competition?

THE ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION 2024, organized and sponsored by WONDER WRITERS ACADEMY, aims to inspire creative thinking and expression among grades 4 to 9 students. Through this contest, we aim to nurture writing skills, encourage reflection, and celebrate the unique perspectives of young minds. Theme is NEW YEAR, NEW BEGINNINGS. Last Date of Contest is 31st January 2024.

All students belonging to grades 4 to 9
Submission Deadline: January 31, 2024

Topics of Essay Writing Competition

For Juniors (4th, 5th, and 6th grades):
1. If I were in charge of New Year celebrations…..
2. My favourite memories of the past year.
3. How can I help the Planet in the new year?

For Seniors (7th, 8th and 9th grades):
1. How not to break resolutions in the New Year?
2. If I could visit any New Year in history, what would I change?
3. How does ‘looking back’ help in shaping my 2024 New Year resolutions?

Guidelines for Participants of Essay Writing Competition

Essay Length:
For Juniors (4th, 5th, and 6th grades) – not more than 100 words
For Seniors (7th, 8th and 9th grades) – not more than 200 words
Formatting: All the submissions should be neatly typed, double-spaced, and in Arial Font Size 12.
Language: Submissions should be in English language only.
Originality: All submitted works should be original. PLAGIARISM will not be tolerated. Do not use AI or other online tools to write your essay.

Submission Process of Essay Writing Competition

Fill up the Google Form with the correct details and write-ups. The files need to be in PDF or DOC format.

Evaluation Criteria:
** Essays will be judged on creativity, clarity, coherence, relevance to the theme, originality, grammar and punctuation. Hence, sharpen your creative mind before you pen down your essay!
** Before submitting it to us, proofread your essay or request a family member.
** Result Date – February 15, 2024

Judge :
Mandeep Kaur has been a self-employed Principal for the past one and a half decades to the present. She is also an educator, a novelist, a poetess, and overall an accomplished writer. She is done with her final Ph.D. thesis submission and will be awarded her Ph.D., the highest educational degree shortly.

Siddhartha Taya is a Success Mindset Coach and Founder of Supersonic Success Academy. He is a mountaineer, a Black Belt in Karate, and a Poet of an inspirational poetry book, ‘The Edge of Floor 17.’ He is also an award-winning Entrepreneur and motivational speaker.

Prizes of Essay Writing Competition

Prizes will be separately given to Juniors and Seniors.
** 1st Prize – Gold Medal, Digital Certificate, and the reward of getting published on a leading children’s website.
** 2nd Prize – Silver Medal, Winning Certificate, and the reward of getting published on a leading children’s website.
** 3rd Prize – Bronze Medal, Digital Certificate, and the reward of getting published on a leading children’s website.
** All the participants will receive a digital participation certificate and feedback as well.
