What is PM SURYA GHAR MUFT BIJLI YOJANA Selfie Contest?

Ministry of New and Renewable Energy in collaboration with MyGov is organizing “PM SURYA GHAR MUFT BIJLI YOJANA Selfie Contest”. The contest invites citizens to become advocates of sustainable development, using selfies as a medium to convey their ideas and messages about adopting solar energy in their lives. The contest is open to Indian Nationals only. The participant will be required to provide his / her name, email address, telephone number, postal address, district, state, etc. By submitting the contact details, the participants will give consent to these details being used for the purpose of the competition. Last Date of Contest is 18th March 2024.

** Submit your selfie on MyGov portal

Technical Parameters of PM SURYA GHAR MUFT BIJLI YOJANA Selfie Contest

** Only one selfie to be submitted.
** .JPG format only (not exceeding 4 MB).
** The file should be of high resolution- at least 1000 pixels per inch at 100% size. The file should not be pixilated or bit-mapped. It should look clean. It should be submitted in a compressed or self-extracting format.
** Along with the photo, participants are requested to submit a brief description of the photo and the innovative/ unique idea that the selfie depicts as well as the social media links where it has been posted. (maximum 200 words)

Gratification of PM SURYA GHAR MUFT BIJLI YOJANA Selfie Contest

** The best selfie will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 15,000.

Terms & Conditions of PM SURYA GHAR MUFT BIJLI YOJANA Selfie Contest

1. The contest is open to Indian Nationals only.

2. The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy and REC Limited will have the sole right/proprietorship for the usage of the winning content. The participant shall be solely responsible for any consequences that may arise due to any kind of infringement of copyrights or any kind of intellectual property rights belonging to any other person/entity etc.

3. The decision of the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy and REC Limited with respect to the evaluations and winners is final and binding.

4. The participant will be required to provide his / her name, email address, telephone number, postal address, district, state, etc. By submitting the contact details, the participants will give consent to these details being used for the purpose of the competition.

5. Entries received outside the given time/ date will not be valid. Once submitted an entry cannot be withdrawn.
6. One entrant can participate only once. Multiple entries from the same entrant will not be considered and will be discarded.

7. Organizers will not accept any responsibility for entries that are lost, are late or incomplete or have not been transmitted due to computer error or any other error beyond the organizer’s reasonable control. Please note proof of submission of the entry is not proof of receipt of the same.

8. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, organizers reserve the right to amend or withdraw the competitions at any time. For the avoidance of doubt this includes the right to amend these terms and conditions.
9. The Participant shall abide by all the rules and regulations of participating in the competition from time to time.
10. Organisers reserve all rights to disqualify or refuse participation to any participant registrations shall be void if the information received by the Organizers is illegible, incomplete, damaged, false, or erroneous.
11. The entries should not contain any provocative, objectionable, or inappropriate content.

12. Please note that the creative entries must be original and should not violate any provisions of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957. Plagiarism would not be accepted. Anyone found infringing on others’ copyright would be disqualified from the competition. The government of India does not bear any responsibility for copyright violations or infringements of intellectual property carried out by the participants.

13. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Indian Judiciary.
14. By participating the competition, the participant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, mentioned above.
