What is Wingword Poetry Competition?

If you enjoy expressing your thoughts and feelings, you should submit your poems to Wingword Poetry Competition. We conduct the Wingword Competition, awarding emerging poets along with the opportunity for their works to be published. The competition is solely for new poets who have little to no recognition. You are invited to participate in Wingword Poetry Competition 2025. We are excited to receive new poems from those who like to convey their thoughts, imagination and feelings through words. Last date of contest is 15th June 2025.

Eligibility of Wingword Poetry Competition

Only Indian citizens and persons of Indian origin are eligible to enter. The competition is open to anyone who is 15 years old and above.

How To Enter in the Wingword Poetry Competition?

To participate in the Wingword Poetry Competition,

Step 1: Pay the Entry Fees
Please choose the number of poems you want to send and pay the respective entry fees for it. Entry fee is Rs 1000 for one poem, Rs 2000 for three poems, Rs 3000 for five poems and Rs. 5000 for ten poems.

Step 2: Check Your E-mail
Once you pay the entry fee on the website, you will receive an email with access to a secret link to the submission form.

Step 3: Fill The Form
Fill the submission form with your personal details and your poetry. You can type your poems in the form. Then click the ‘Submit’ button. You will receive a confirmation email as soon as you have submitted the form.

Prizes of Wingword Poetry Competition

1st Prize: 50,000 rupees + winner gets their own poetry book published
2nd Prize: 30,000 rupees
3rd Prize: 20,000 rupees

Note:
** Top 10 Winners receive 10,000 rupees each
** 100 Commendable Mentions are published in the Wingword Collection of Selected Poems
** All participants will receive certificates of participation.

Terms of Wingword Poetry Competition

** Poems must be the original work of the author, and must not have been created using AI.
** We accept poems written in English and Hindi (Main Category)
** If you write in Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Assamese or Gujarati, please check Regional Languages Category.
** Any length and style of poetry is welcome.
** Poems on any subject are accepted. Our poets are encouraged to take inspiration from wherever they may find it.
** Entry fee is INR 1000 for one poem, INR 2000 for three poems and INR 3000 for five poems.
** We encourage participants to submit more poems, as it increases the likelihood of winning. Each poem is considered as an individual entry.
** Beginners are encouraged to participate.
** This is an online writing competition. Performance is not required anywhere. Submission has to be made online through our website.
