What is IIFC International Short Film Contest?

Director Vetri Maaran’s International Institute of Film and Culture is proud to announce the International Short Film Contest 2025. All passionate filmmakers from India and from around the world can participate in this contest. The winners will receive attractive cash prizes. Entries must be submitted by or on June 15, 2025.

How To Enter in the IIFC International Short Film Contest?

** The short film should be of 15 to 20 minutes duration
** The short film should be a first time entry
** Entries must be submitted by or on June 15, 2025
** The participant must submit the short film in the required format to the designated email (format and email will be intimated in the subsequent announcements)

Prizes of IIFC International Short Film Contest

** A panel of eminent filmmakers will serve as the jury
** First and second prizes will be awarded to the films selected by the jury

** All the shortlisted films will be screened at a film festival hosted by IIFC at a later date

** The uniqueness of pedagogy coupled with the concept of a fully grant based world class educational environment ensures that these students will gain from the finest minds in the disciplines mentioned but without burdening the finances of their families.
** The faculty are drawn from Communication, Film Studies, Sociology, Literature, Psychology, PoliticalScience, History, Culture Studies, Visual Arts, Performing arts and practising professionals from the Film Industry
** The objective is to fuel their dreams and give wind to their wings so they may soar in the creative arts and create a generation of young creators in Tamil Nadu and India.
