What is Vana Mahotsava Smallest Flower Contest?

Vana Mahotsava Smallest Flower Contest 2026 is organised by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. It’s time to celebrate Vana Mahotsava! Here is an interesting contest for you. Participate and be part of the Vana Mahotsava Celebrations. The Contest is open to all school children studying in any class up to 12, within India. 1,000 participants who send a photo of a unique plant will get the book titled, “The Crazy Wit of Nasruddin Hodja”, FREE. Last date of contest is 10th July, 2026.

Eligibility of Vana Mahotsava Smallest Flower Contest

The Vana Mahotsava Smallest Flower Contest is open to all school children studying in any class up to 12, within India.

The Purpose of the Contest:
** To introduce students to the fascinating world of flowers.
** To to help them appreciate the immense diversity and variety that the plant kingdom offers.
** To help the participants discover that beauty exists not only in grand and spectacular flowers, but also in the delicate, unnoticed blossoms that enrich our environment.
** A small step towards Creative Education which Shri K M Munshi, founder of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, had visualised.

How To Enter in the Vana Mahotsava Smallest Flower Contest?

It is very simple.
** Visit our website https://bhavans.info/contest and register by entering the required details.
** After successful registration, the participant will get a registration number.
** Find the Smallest Flower in your area.
** Place Ruler (Scale) near the flower.
** Take a photograph using mobiles after zooming it to a viewable size.
** Send the photograph via email to updates.bhavans@gmail.com by entering the registration number in the subject line.
** The contest is open till 10 July, 2026.
** Only one entry/one photo per student. Multiple entries will lead to disqualification.

Prizes of Vana Mahotsava Smallest Flower Contest

** 1,000 participants who send a photo of a unique plant will get the book titled, “The Crazy Wit of Nasruddin Hodja”, FREE.
** The book has 89 pages
** Cover Price of the Book: Rs. 250/-

Prizes will be given to:
** Those who send the photograph of any unique flower.
** If more than 1,000 participants send such photographs, then there will be a Random selection of winners.

Disqualification:
** If more than 5 students from a school send the same variety of flower.
** If not registered on our website.
** If the photo is not sent via email
** If the ruler is not visible in the photo
** If the photo is not clear.
** If the email does not carry the registration number.
** Any entry received after the last date.

Precautions to be taken:
** Taking photographs from dangerous locations has to be avoided.
** Always take an adult’s help to locate or click the photographs.
