SOF Ranking/Criteria For Qualification

Students fulfilling either of the following 3 criteria will qualify for 2nd level Olympiads exams:
** Top 5% of students, class wise who appear for the 1st level exam. Due priority to marks scored in different sections will be given.

SOF 2nd Level Olympiads 2015-16 Admit Card

** Zone wise/State wise top 25 rank holders from each class.
** Class topper, where at least 10 students from a class appear in the exam, & scores at least 50% marks.

2nd level exam will be held for Cyber, Science & Mathematics Olympiads (NCO, NSO & IMO) for students from class 3 onwards. In case two or more students score same total marks, ranks will be determined by following priority. A student scoring more marks in section with higher priority will get higher rank

In case two or more students score equally in all sections, they will be accorded same rank.

Criteria for Ranking in 2nd Level

In case of level 2 exams, ranks will be accorded on the following criteria:
Total Marks scored in level 2 exam.

In case two or more students score same number of marks, ranks will be determined on following criteria:
a. Marks scored in sections in level two exam accorded higher priority.
b. Total marks scored in Level one exam.
c. Marks scored in sections, in level one exam, accorded higher priority.

In case two or more students score same marks under all the categories above, they will be awarded the same rank.

Criteria For Ranking Single Level Olympiad Exams:
For IEO and class one & two students appearing in NCO, NSO and / or IMO exams, ranks will be accorded on the following criteria.
** Marks obtained in the exam.
** In case two or more students score same number of marks, ranks will be determined on the basis ofmarks scored in sections accorded more priority.

In case two or more students score same marks under both the criteria above, they will be awarded the same rank.

  1. My roll number is WB0109-05-X-066. In NCO Olympiad, I got 35 marks out of 60. Aishiki Biswas whose roll number is WB0109-05-C-040 also got 35 marks but the bronze medal is awarded to her not to me. Why?

  2. Please declare IMO 2018-2019 result as soon as possible because I am very excited about that.

  3. I scored 51 out of 60. So, I want to know I am selected for 2nd level (or) not.

  5. I got 22 marks out of 60 in SOF. So I want to know that if I am selected for 2nd level or not.

    1. Information available from the Official Website :

      ** Top 5% of students, class wise who appear for the 1st level exam. due priority to marks scored in different sections will be given.
      ** Zone wise top 25 rank holders from each class.
      ** Class topper from each participating school where at least 10 students from a class appear in the exam & scores 50% qualifying marks. In case registration is received section wise, students with highest marks, irrespective of section will qualify for the 2ndlevel. For section wise registrations, winner(s) of gold medal may not necessarily qualify for the second level.

  6. My roll number is jk0104. Please tell me my school rank.

  7. Is there a III level in IMO and NSO because I was selected for 2nd level if suppose III level is there what is the selection procedure?

    1. I want to know about second level criteria of IMO exam. I got 45 marks and stood 4th in my school. Still I am not qualified for second level. Please explain.

  13. What is the second level selection criteria? Is it possible to write second level if my daughter gets 90% marks? If 9 members write exam for level 1 from them one of students get class first and get more than cut off marks then also is it not possible for level 2? Can you explain?

      Admit cards for the 2nd level Olympiads will be made available after 25th Jan ’16. The admit cards, in duplicate, will be made available to students as under:
      ** These will be couriered to respective schools and
      ** These will be uploaded on our site http://www.sofworld.org and
      ** These will be e-mailed to school

      2ND LEVEL OLYMPIADS – 9TH IMO, 18TH NSO & 15TH NCO CONDUCTED. RESULTS WILL BE DECLARED DURING THE 2ND FORTNIGHT OF MARCH 2016.

  27. How can I apply?

    1. SOF does not encourage individual participation. Students have to register through their schools only.
