Observance of Road Safety Week:

We know that over one lakh persons lose their lives every year in our country in road accidents, causing loss of human life and property and trauma to the family of the diseased.

CBSE Expression Series On India of My Dreams 2016 :

As a part of the advocacy campaign for road safety, Road Safety Week is observed throughout the country every year in the month of January in order to highlight and emphasize the need for Road safety. It is also an opportunity for all the schools affiliated to CBSE to contribute to the cause by taking up various activities to promote the concept.

The Theme For 2016 Road Safety Week is “Road Safety- Time for Action”

Road Safety Week:
The Road safety week will be observed from 11th to 16th January 2016. An indicative list of the activities which may be undertaken during the week is enclosed in the Annexure

Submission Procedure :
It is requested that in order to carry out these activities involvement of all the concerned agencies like Traffic Police, Health, Information and Publicity, PWD, Transport Authorities and Voluntary Organizations etc. may be ensured. Schools may send a brief report of the activities undertaken to latest by 31st January 2016.

** Songs/Dance/Jingle/Fancy dress
** Mime/Skit
** Intra/Interschool competitions
** Rallies/Walkathon
** Flash mobs
** Films/Ad. movie
** Pamphlets/Publications/ Website resources/ Blogs/Mobile app
** First Aid/Road emergencies workshop
** Organize Medical camps for health check-up of drivers
** Fitness check-up of all the vehicles in the school
