Star Jalsha Parivaar Awards :

These terms and conditions govern the SMS polling activity titled “Star Jalsha Parivaar Awards 2016 Poll” (‘Contest’) organized, conducted and brought to you by STAR India Private Limited (on its Bengali television channel “STAR JALSHA” based on the Star Jalsha Parivaar Awards 2016 to be telecast on the Channel on June 5, 2016 between 4:00pm IST and 10:00pm IST.

The poll for voting (‘Poll’) shall commence from April 10th, 2016 at 00:00:00 hours IST and shall conclude on April 22nd, 2016 at 23:59:59 hours IST (‘Poll Period’/’Contest Period’).

You (‘Viewer(s)’) may voluntarily participate in the Contest if you agree with these Terms. If you do not agree or cannot comply with any of the Terms then, please do not participate in the Contest.

The Contest will be held on the Channel during the Contest Period and is open for participation by viewers/users of the Channel in India only.

The STAR India Privacy Policy, available on our Website at shall govern the Contest and all usage of any personal information of the Viewers that may be received by STAR India during or pursuant to the Contest by STAR India.

By participating in the Contest or accessing the Website or these Terms it is deemed that the Viewer(s) has read, understood, accepted and agrees to irrevocably, unconditionally abide with and be bound by all the Terms of the Contest and the Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to be bound or cannot comply with any of the Terms, please do not continue.

PRINCIPAL RULES :

1. The Contest will be announced and promoted starting from April 10, 2016 through promos and astons on the Channel or any other means at the sole discretion of STAR India, and such promotion will continue till April 22, 2016, based on the sole discretion of STAR India.

2. During the Poll Period the Viewers will be asked to cast their vote to choose their favorite nominee(s) from among the various categories provided at the complete discretion of STAR India (each a ‘Category’) as stated below.

The Viewer(s) interested in participating and qualifying for the Poll (‘Voter(s)’) will have to type the codes, as mentioned hereinbelow (‘Voting Codes’) and send the vote to 57827 (‘Vote’).

The Voting Codes of the nominees under the given Categories (‘Nominations’) are as follows:

If the Vote is successfully cast, then the Viewer shall receive a response message based at the complete discretion of STAR India, thanking him/her for casting the Vote. The Viewer agrees and acknowledges that such an acknowledgement message shall not be sent in case the Viewer has used a landline number to participate in the Poll.

3.       STAR India will sufficiently promote the Polling, based on its sole discretion, reasonably in advance (in the manner stated above) to ensure that the Viewers are aware about the programs during which the Categories will be aired on the Channel.

4.       The Nominations will be shown through on-air promo and aston content during the Contest Period.

5.       Viewers will be asked to cast their Vote to choose their favorite nominee(s) from the various Categories during the Contest Period.

6.  The SMS containing the above mentioned keyword(s) with the Voting Code(s) and in such manner as stated hereinabove must be sent by the Voter(s) to 57827 during the Contest Period mentioned only.

SMS sent before or after the Contest Period stated in these rules and regulations shall not be considered and shall be null and void. (Each an ‘Entry’). For the sake of clarity, a Voter can cast an Entry for a particular Category only once during the Poll Period.

Each SMS sent by the Voter for voting shall be chargeable, at the current applicable rates given below. STAR India shall not be liable for any change in the applicable SMS charges and the Viewers are advised to check and confirm the same with their respective telecom operators:

Any costs or expenses incurred to participate in the Poll shall be solely borne by the Viewers and STAR India shall not be liable for any such costs or expenses.
