Logo & Design Tagline Contest:

A new scheme, namely, Khelo India – National Programme for Development of Sport was launched by merging the erstwhile ‘Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan’, ‘Urban Sports Infrastructure Scheme’ and National Sports Talent Search System Programme’ as a Central Sector Scheme from the financial year 2016-17 onwards.

The programme takes care to develop sports infrastructure in both Rural and Urban areas and provides for not only identification of talent but guiding and nurturing of the talent through assistance to SAI Training Centres Academies and State Government training centres/academies and setting up of new academies both in public and PPP Mode.

Vision of Khelo India- National Programme for Development of Sports is centered on:
** Mass participation of youth in annual sports competitions through a structured competition;
** Identification of talent
** Guidance and nurturing of the talent through existing sports academies and new set up either by the central Government or State Government or in PPP mode.
** Creation of Sports Infrastructure at mofussil, Tehsil, District, State levels, etc.

Khelo India Logo and Tagline Contest:
Mission Directorate- Sports Development, Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (Government of India) invites creative designers, artists and innovators to participate in “Khelo India- National Programme for Development of Sports” Logo and Tagline Design Competition.

Note:
** The logo and tagline should depict the goals of Khelo India and be easily relatable to the Khelo India.
** This task seeks inputs to design a logo and tagline for Khelo India scheme.
** The last date of submission is 27th July 2016.
** The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000/- (Rs.40,000/- for logo and Rs. 10,000/- for tagline)
