Short Film Competition 2015 :
The contest will be conducted in accordance to Indian Standard Time. Please note that the dates mentioned below are liable to change if needed.

THEME: TOURISM POTENTIAL OF ASSAM

All films will have to be shot/made keeping the theme in mind. The film must depict all or one of the following aspects of Magnificent Assam:

** Aesthetic beauty
** Culture
** Landscapes
** Wildlife
** Festivals
** History
** Life
** Tribes

LAST DATE OF SUBMISSIONS: 30th August 2015

** All entries must be submitted on or before midnight on 30th August 2015.

** Announcement of the Best Film, top ten and honourable mentions will be done within 10 working days after closing of submission.

** The Competition is open only to those who are 16 years of age or above.

** The film has to have been shot in Assam during the last three (3) years.

** The film should not have been submitted in any other competitions/contests/festivals whatsoever.

** More than one film submissions by an individual will not be entertained in any circumstances.

*ENTRY MATERIALS
All entries must include the following:
** “Entry Form” properly completed.

** There is no entry fee or registration fee for films being submitted in this competition.

** TWO DVD copies of the work, formatted for multi–zone and labelled with the work’s title, running time, format (DV—PAL), and director(s) name(s). Entries in any other format will not be accepted for preview. Check that each submitted DVD plays in its entirety on consumer DVD players. Also, do not put adhesive labels on the discs unless it is a professional output job (if burning yourself, use a permanent marker to write necessary information). If your film contains narrative then two copies will have to be submitted; one with and one without the narration. Please note we will not accept Blu–ray discs.

** Although you may submit a link in addition to your DVDs, the film will not be reviewed until your DVDs are received.

** A detailed synopsis of the film and the credit list.

** All necessary certificates, within the specified date. (CBFC certification, broadcast rights, broadcast consent, etc.)

** Make note that any of the Entry materials will not be returned and will be destroyed or discarded by the organiser.

Submitted Films must meet the following specifications:
** The film should be 180 seconds in duration (NO LONGER).

** The film may be of any genre. The maker has all creative freedom as long as it is original.

** The film must be of 720/1080 resolution and of .mov/.avi/.mp4 format.

** The film must not contain any watermark or logo.

** Film(s) having narratives in languages other than English must contain subtitles for the same.

** Your film should be appropriate for the community. The organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entry if it does not find the film appropriate without any notice whatsoever.

** Kindly use all original material unless you can get the correct permission.

TERMS & CONDITIONS :
*Magnificent Assam, National Short Film Competition 2015 is open to those aged 16 and over only, excluding employees or agencies of Assam Tourism (“The Organiser”), their group companies or their family members or anyone else connected.

*The owner/director can be from anywhere in the world, but the film must have been shot in Assam depicting its tourism potential and aesthetic beauty.

*The film must be shot or completed in the last 3 years and not be submitted in any other contest.

*Awards will be given to only the best film and by default the director will be treated as the owner of the film unless specified.
