Match Point-20 & Out Activity:

The following are the rules for the “Match Point- 20 and out” activity hosted by Star India Private Limited (“STAR”) for promotion of the events to which Star has necessary rights  on the platforms and media owned/operated by STAR or its group companies  to be conducted through a mobile number  promoted on the Star Sports India Twitter profile and/or Star Sports India Facebook page

(I) Principal Rules:
1. The Activity will be conducted on such days of the Tournament on which a match is played, during the period notified on the Network Handles, or such other date as may be decided by STAR at its sole discretion and announced by Star on the Network Handles.

2. The Activity is a game of knowledge and skill whereby the Participants will be given an opportunity to make audio-visual recording expressing their opinion about a match on specified Tournament days during which the Activity is conducted (“Activity Day”) and submit such recordings on the Phone Number (“Recording”).

An official announcement shall be made on the Network Handles and/or on the Channels inviting Twitter and Facebook users to watch the live/non-live studio shows that is broadcast before/after each match/sessions of the match of the Tournament on the Channels (“Show”) and share submit their Recordings on the Phone Number during the Activity Period.

Any person who wishes to participate in the Activity (“Participant”) shall fulfill all of the following requirements in order to qualify for participation:
(a) Participants must be residing in India during the Activity Period.
(b) Participants are required to visit the Network Handles and “follow”/”like” (as may be applicable) the respective Network Handle in order to keep themselves updated about the Activity.
(c) The Participant should submit their Recording expressing their opinion about specific matches on the Activity Day only.

3. The editorial team of STAR shall at its sole discretion select the best Recordings for each Activity Day, from amongst all those Participants who have submitted Recordings (“Winner(s)”). The Winner(s) shall be decided basis the best Recording(S) submitted in terms of ability to generate interest, uniqueness, relevance or other criteria as the editorial team shall deem fit.

STAR’s decision in this regard and for all other matters relating to the Activity shall be final and binding upon the Participant(s). Each Winner in relation to each Activity Day will be informed by STAR by way of message on the number from which the Participant shares the Recording.

4. The Recording of each Winner would be broadcast on the Show (“Prize”). STAR shall not be liable in the event it is unable to broadcast any of the Recordings of the Winners. Neither STAR nor any of its group companies shall be responsible or liable for any technical disruption, failure and/or any other difficulties of such nature, due to which the Winner(s) is unable to claim the Prize from STAR i.e. the Recording is not broadcast.

5. STAR reserves the right to forfeit a Prize in the event it is found by STAR has a reason to believe that any information provided by the Participant/Winner(s) is wrong, fraudulent or any misrepresentation is made by the Participant/Winner.

6. The Winner agrees that the Prize cannot be transferred, negotiated, refunded or exchanged. It is clarified that no other gratification, cash equivalent of the Prize or alternative prize will be awarded to the Winner(s) and the Winner(s) cannot exchange the Prize for cash or a gift of similar value.

The Activity/Prize cannot be combined with any other contest or activity. It is clarified that STAR has no obligation to incorporate any Recording in the telecast of the matches or otherwise mention it on the Channels.

7. All Recordings must be received during the Activity Period. Recordings received before or after the Activity Period will not be considered for the Activity and shall be deemed null and void without requirement of any further intimation by STAR.

8. STAR and/or its group companies shall not be responsible in the event the Recordings are not received or the Participant(s) is unable to participate or share his/her Recording due to any network problem or any other technical error of any nature whatsoever.
