Essay Competition :

The Honourable Prime Minister in his “Mann Ki Baat” on 29th July 2017 spoke about a Sankalp to make “Filth – Quit India”. On August 9, 2017, he also issued a clarion call to the nation during his speech on the floor of the Lok Sabha to embrace the “Sankalp se Siddhi” movement, and appealed to all citizens to play their role towards achieving a New India by 2022.

To help implement the Honourable Prime Minister’s vision, Swachh Sankalp se Swachh Siddhi Essay Competition is being organized as another major step in making Swachhta a Jan Aandolan. Individuals are invited to write essays of not more than 250 words on the theme of Swachhta and describe how they can personally contribute to the Swachh Bharat Mission.

Essay Topic: What can I do for a Clean India?

The essay could be written in any of the following languages – it is mandatory to use the hashtag along with the languages in which the essay has been written: #assamese, #bengali, #bodo, #dogri, #english, #gujarati, #hindi, #kannada, #kashmiri, #konkani, #maithili, #malayalam, #manipuri, #marathi, #nepali, #oriya, #punjabi, #sanskrit, #santhali, #sindhi, #tamil, #telugu and #urdu.

Three winners will be awarded at the national level. Awards will also be given at the State and District levels. Senior citizens(above 60 years) and differently abled are encouraged to apply using the hashtags #senior and #differentlyabled, respectively, and will be given special recognition at the national awards.

Terms and Conditions :
1. The competition is open to all Indian citizens.
2. The theme of the essay is “What can I do for a Clean India.”
3. Three winners will be awarded at the national level. Awards will also be given at the State and District levels.
4. School students and central police force personnel should submit their entries to their respective organizations.
5. Senior citizens(above 60 years) and differently abled are encouraged to apply using the hashtags #senior and #differentlyabled, respectively, and will be given special recognition at the national awards.
6. All entries must be submitted on www.mygov.in. Make sure your MyGov profile is accurate and updated as we will use the information on the profile for further communication. This includes your name and phone number. Entries of participants who fail to furnish complete profile will be rejected.
7. Entries will be received from 17th August 2017. The entry window will close at 8th September 2017 midnight (IST).
8. Following the announcement of the results of the competition all national level winners will need to make themselves available for the prize distribution event in New Delhi on 1st / 2nd October 2017.
