Manipal Runner’s Club Marathon

The Manipal Marathon is an annual marathon held in the picturesque student town of Manipal, Karnataka. Manipal marathon 2018 will be the second iteration of this event.

The marathon is a student run event with the aim to promote running in and around the area. We aim to inculcate the habit of running among the students who shall be the future pioneers of their respective fields and give talented individuals a platform to showcase their abilities.

Be prepared on 11th of February, 2018. The Manipal Marathon 2018 has 5 categories: Half Marathon, Timed 10km, Timed 5k, 5K funrun and 3k fun run.

Categories

The Timed 5K Run:
** This year, we’re introducing a new race category.
** This not only allows the seasoned runners to try and push their pace to set a new PB, but it also allows those with a new found interest in running to get the feel of a timed event.
** All finishers of the 5 km race category will get a Finisher Medal post their run on race day– medals will not be posted to individual runners.
** Timing certificates of the finishers will be available for download from the event website within 21 days from race day.
** Registration fee: Rs. 300.

The Timed 10K Run:
** This distance is a good test for the intermediate runner who wants to push their limits, or for the not so regular runner who wants to set a new target for themselves and achieve goals outside of their comfort zone.
** All finishers of the 10 km race category will get a Finisher Medal post their run on race day– medals will not be posted to individual runners.
** Timing certificates of the finishers will be available for download from the event website within 21 days from race days
** Registration fee: Rs. 400.

The Timed 21.1K Run:
** 21.1 kilometers.
** This distance is for the crazy run addicts. Our picturesque route winds through the lush green areas with trees on both sides, and takes you on a bumpy ride on a hill, or two.
** This is definitely one of the bucket list things for the bravehearts.
** All participants must be 18 years or older on race day.
** All finishers of the half marathon race category will get a Finisher Medal post their run on race day– medals will not be posted to individual runners.
** Timing certificates of half marathon finishers will be available for download from the event website within 21 days from race day
** Registration fee: Rs. 500.

The 3K Fun Run:
If the 5km seems too daunting to you, don’t worry. We’ve got your back covered. This is the perfect place to start your running journey. After all, a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

The 5K Fun Run:
From the first time runner, to the seasoned veteran remembering the days of yore, this fun run is organised to let everyone soak in the joy of a good run, and the atmosphere of an electrifying event.
