About Contest

Department of Telecom (DoT) Ministry of Communications is the nodal agency to proliferate Broadband through Public Wi-Fi networks under the framework of Prime Minister’s Wi-Fi Access Network Interface (PM-WANI) which was approved by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 9th December 2020.

The PM-WANI framework envisages provision of Broadband through Public Wi-Fi Hotspot providers and will consist of the following elements :

** Public Data Office (PDO), which will establish, maintain, and operate PM-WANI compliant Wi-Fi Access Points and provide last-mile connectivity to deliver Broadband services to subscribers by procuring internet bandwidth from telecom service providers and/ or internet service providers;

** Public Data Office Aggregator (PDOA), which will provide aggregation services such as authorization and accounting to PDOs, thereby facilitating PDOs in providing services to the end consumer;

** App Provider, who will develop an Application to register users and ‘discover’ and display PM-WANI compliant Wi-Fi hotspots in the proximity for accessing the internet service and also authenticate the potential Broadband users;

** A Central Registry, which will maintain the details of App Providers, PDOAs, and PDOs. To begin with, the Central Registry will be maintained by the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DoT).

How to Apply?

All entries must be submitted through creative corner section of www.mygov.in. Entries submitted through any other medium / mode would not be considered for evaluation.

Step-2 : Click on “Login to Participate”
Step-3 : Enter your Email ID (or) Mobile Number and
Step-4 : Enter your Password to Login.

Step-5 : After Login, you can submit your entries.

Prize

INR 25,000/- to the winning entry for each Logo and Tagline.

Terms & Conditions

** Participant is to make sure that his/her MyGov Profile is accurate and updated since Ministry would be using this for further communication. This includes details such as name, e-mail id, photo and mobile number. Entries with incomplete profiles would not be considered.

** Every entry must be accompanied with information about Place, Station and Division, clearly filled in the comments column. Entries missing these details would not be considered.

** Once submitted for competition, copyrights of Logo and Tagline will be with Ministry of Communications.
** Multiple submissions by the same participant would not be considered. Only single submission will be accepted.

** The entry should not have been previously published in any print and digital media.
** The entry must not contain any provocative, objectionable or inappropriate content.

** The winners have to share their consent to the use of their names in any publicity carried out by Ministry of Communications, without further compensation.

** The winners will be declared either through email or by way of announcing their names on the MyGov blog page.
** There will be no notification to participants of rejected entries.

** All entries in each category will be judged based on creativity, originality and composition by Ministry of Communications.
** Once a winner is declared, the winner will need to revert to confirmation email within 3 working days or another winner will be chosen.

** Payment to the award winners will be made electronically for which necessary bank details will be taken after declaration of winners of the contest.

** The participant must be the same person who has conceptualized the Name. Plagiarism of any nature would not be allowed.
