The Census of India holds the responsibility for collecting important statistics concerning the population of the country.

To spread awareness on Census with the help of people’s participation, a video crowd-sourcing competition #UsForCensus is being held on MyGov. The participants will have to submit a self-made video around the topic ‘Why Census is important’.

Eligibility

The contest is open for all the citizens residing in India.

16th January 2021 to 31st January 2021

How to Participate?

All entries for the Short Film Contest must be submitted to the Creative Corner Section ofwww.MyGov.in. Entries submitted through any other medium / mode will not be entertained nor considered for evaluation.

Steps:
Step-1 : Go to the link given above.
Step-2 : Click on “Login to Participate”
Step-3 : Enter your Email ID (or) Mobile Number and
Step-4 : Enter your Password to Login.

Step-5 : After Login, you can submit your entries.

Note :
New User, Register First to Participate in the Competition.

Prize

The selected videos will be used on various media platforms of Census India 2021.

Terms & Conditions

** The video blogging contest will support participation via MyGov and the social media platforms of YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram

** You can only participate in the contest by registering on the MyGov platform and sharing the video link in the entry submission form. Videos shared on social media but not uploaded on the MyGov platform will not be considered an entry to the competition.

** Multiple entries by a person are not allowed.
** Anyone found to use multiple accounts to enter the contest will be ineligible.

** Entries can be captured using any digital device.
** Both colour and monochrome videos will be accepted.
** Video should not exceed 2 minutes 30 seconds.

** All entries should be accompanied with a brief caption (max 120 characters). Also use the hashtag #UsForCensus

** Participant has to make sure that his/her MyGov profile is accurate and updated since the Office of the Registrar General & Census Commissioner of India would be using this for further communication. This includes details such as name, photo and phone number.

** Entries with incomplete profiles would not be considered.
** Source video must be made available on request by the Office of the Registrar General & Census Commissioner of India.

** The Office of the Registrar General & Census Commissioner of India or MyGov does not accept any liability for the publication of unlawfully reproduced video.

** Computer-generated or computer-altered/morphed video (other than basic system work) will be disqualified.

** The personal information of all the participants will be kept confidential. The announcements will reveal only the identities of the winners of the competition, with information such as name, age gender, category of award and city.
