What is Champawat Tagline & Logo Design Competition?

Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board with Champawat district administration is holding a “State Level Design Competition for Logo design” to be used in destination promotion including, but not limited to, official website, digital platforms, event promotion, social media sites, merchandise, and promotional materials. Swadesh Darshan 2.0 seeks to attain “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” by realizing India’s full potential as a tourism destination. Last Date of Competition is 15th January 2024.

Eligibility of Tagline & Logo Design Competition

The competition is open to all (Indian & Foreign Nationals) above 16 years of age.

Tagline Competition

Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board in collaboration with Ministry of Tourism, Government of India’s Swadesh Darshan 2.0 invites entries for “Champawat” Tagline Compettion 2023. This is once in a life-me opportunity to participate in making “Champawat a Global Tourism Hub”.

Tagline Theme

Calling all creative minds! Participate in the ‘Tagline’ competition and be part of Champawat’s legacy! Create a Tagline that is inviting and engaging and captures the unique amalgamation of city’s nature, folklore, festivals, and rich history. On one hand are verdant tea gardens and on other hand age-old temples brimming with echoes of a rich past. The purpose of Tagline is to encapsulate the destination’s uniqueness and invite travellers to visit Champawat.

Submission Guidelines

** The tagline should be submitted in PDF file over the email (tourismchampawat[AT]gmail.com) with crisp justification in less than 50 words.
** The tagline should not have been previously published in any print and digital media and must not contain any provocative, objectionable or inappropriate content.
** Multiple submissions of tagline by the same participant would not be accepted. One entry per individual.
** The tagline must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957 or any Indian law.
** Plagiarism/Copying of any nature would not be allowed. If found, it will invite disqualification from the competition.

Specifications for Tagline

** The tagline should be in English or Hindi.
** The tagline should be crisp and short. (Not more than 4-5 words)
** The tagline should be easily understandable and contemporary.
** The tagline should resonate with the value of visiting Champawat and bring out the essence of Uttarakhand Tourism.
** The tagline should not have been previously published in any print and digital media and must not contain any provocative, objectionable or inappropriate content.

Theme for Logo Design

Calling all creatives! Participate in the Logo Design competition and be part of Champawat’s legacy! Design the logo that captures the unique amalgamation of nature, folklore, festivals, and rich history. On one hand are verdant tea gardens and on other hand age-old temples brimming with echoes of a rich past.

The purpose of Logo is to encapsulate the destination’s uniqueness and shape Champawat’s tourism story, and invite travellers to experience its unique heritage. Join in crafting Champawat’s narrative through your artistic vision.

Submission Guidelines

** The contest is open to all (Indian and Foreign Nationals) above 16 years of age.
** The entry/ entries have to submitted by Dec 30, 11 PM IST. Any submission after the timeline will be considered as null and void.
** Contestants can work in groups or individually; only one (1) prize will be awarded, regardless of group size.
** One or more entry per person or group will be accepted. Each entry must be submitted in a separate email.
** Entries must be submitted electronically to (tourismchampawat[AT]gmail.com) with a subject line: Submission of Logo for Champawat and must include the full name(s) of the logo creator, email address, postal address, and a contact phone number.
** Competition entries must be submitted on PDF file with logo. Other file types will not be considered during judging.
** District Authorities Champawat will later request that the contest winner to provide a scalable vector graphic format (EPS) version of their winning logo, with the file and assets packaged for delivery. Files must retain transparency.
** There is no fee to enter this contest.
** Type must be converted to outlines.
** All type should be large enough to be legible in smaller formats, such as for mugs or other merchandise.

Logo Design Specifications

** The logo should be adaptable to different iterations in size and application and reflect the mentioned theme.
** This logo will be used across multiple web platforms and must be flexible enough to use in multiple iterations of sizes and color formats.

** The logo should be easy to adapt, resize, and transfer for all purposes of reproduction. We prefer a horizontal layout, with dimensions conducive to use in website banners and printing on t-shirts. If the submission is in a vertical layout, it must be easy to reformat to horizontal for specific logo applications.

** Entries must be submitted as PDF files. For quality reproduction purposes, the winning entry must later be submitted in scalable vector graphic format (EPS).
** Color must be CMYK, though the logo may also be reproduced in black and white. Contestants are advised to avoid gradients and half-tones.
** The logo must be easy to use, handle, resize, and manipulate for all reproduction purposes. It should be visually appealing on both small (as small as 2 cm x 2 cm) and large scales.
** Logos generated from Generative Art tools such as Midjourney or Stable Diffusion will result in disqualification.

Terms and Conditions of Tagline & Logo Design Competition

** The competition is free for all.
** By entering this competition, entrants agree to be bound by the competition rules.
** Rule violations or failure to follow specification or submission guidelines may eliminate a participant’s eligibility.
** Uttarakhand Tourism Development Boardretains the right to disqualify any entry or contest entrant at any time at its sole discretion.
** The decision of the Selection Committee would be final and binding on all the contestants and no clarifications would be issued to any participants or on any decision of the Selection Committee.
** There will be no notification to participants of rejected entries.

** Uttarakhand Tourism Development Boardreserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of this competition and/ or Terms and Conditions/ Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria. However, any changes to the Terms and Conditions/ Technical Parameters/Evaluation Criteria, or the cancellation of the Contest, will be updated/ posted on the platform through which initial communication of contest is made.

** It would be the responsibility of the participant to keep themselves informed of any changes in the Terms and Conditions/Technical/Parameters / Evaluation Criteria stated for this Contest.

** The responsibility to comply with the Submission of entries, Competition Technical Criteria and Selection Process fully lies with the participant(s) and Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board shall not be answerable to any dispute raised by a third party.
